The fandoms collide. Yaaaaayyy

So yeah, this is going to be personal but wow - I'm sitting here, it's the middle of the night and I'm actually falling in love with another stupid band :D It's really quite fun to observe the process. OK, it's hilarious because the band is Colour Of Bone and after watching Whitechapel over the past 2 weeks I cannot shake the image that Detective Constable Emerson Kent is their singer (and he's got a funny accent and it seriously doesn't help I remember Kent's speech patterns).

Yes, happily enough, Sam Stockman - the actor - is also the musician. And it really doesn't hurt the band's music is GREAT. Seriously, I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Pity they've got only six songs available to the public, but let's take what we can get.

Sam was in a band called The Circus Electric previous to Colour of Bone. They had some great tracks. I'd be happy to upload a zip file of their songs for you if you're interested. :)

Oh I know he was :) When I get interested in something, I tend to be a bit obsessive about it so I dug up all the info I could find on his musical projects. I doubt I'll move onto something else than Colour of Bone for the next two or three weeks. Or four. But if you've got The Circus Electric and it wouldn't be a trouble for you to upload their songs somewhere, I'd be happy to listen to them.

Thank you. Downloaded and had a listen.

Pretty good material, but I think Colour Of Bone are better. Circus seemed much more influenced by Blur and ska (or just Madness) to be successful. And sure, in Colour Of Bone's music one can hear influences as well (namely Muse), but what they do is much more interesting.

Ah, you probably didn't want the dissertation. Sorry, I can help it when I talk about music :)

Anyway, I really hope COB release an album one day and preferably soon.
