Really good thinking and now with a movie coming out, it would be a great story line to continue with. I don't see it in your theory here but what do you make of Bertie being so "close" to Cousin Peter? Wouldn't he, at that time, wanted as much distance as he could get? And they were second cousins once removed, so perhaps....Bertie was bi?
