A skoro doszliśmy do tego tytułu, to się zatrzymajmy *this was smooth :D*.

Jest bogaty, mieszka z wujem i lokajem w wielkim domu, chodzi do prestiżowej szkoły, a los obdarzył go niebywałą inteligencją i dobrym wyglądem.

Tłumaczenie zawiera nieśmiertelne teksty typu: "Mój ci on" (kto pamięta z jakiej to lektury?) tudzież dialogi w rodzaju:
Kevin (kamerdyner Williama): Chce mnie panicz zwolnić?!
William: Przecież to ty chcesz odejść!

So yes, I'm still alive, if anyone cares. I know you don't but allow me my little delusions.

Anyway, this year has been pretty rough. Suffice to say that last November there was a serious illness in my family, and it's been bad.

As to other things: I got a new flat and moved out of my parents' (finally). And people: even if you get along with your parents pretty well, you'll get along with them fabuously when you move out. It's a universal truth.

I got back to reading manga. Well, maybe started reading more is more accurate: I used to buy only Kuroshitsuji (what? I like Victorian England and I'm very attached to the concept of shinigami. And William/Sebastian gives me hope for a better world. Or something), but now I've been reading regularly a few others. Makai Ouji - Devils and Realist is probably my favourite the way Kuroshitsuji never quite managed to be. There's action and adventure and supernatural stuff and the Polish translation borders on brilliant.

And I've started learning Japanese. At this point I can confidently say that my cow is red (watashi-no ushi-wa akai desu), ask someone if their cow is blue (anata-no ushi-wa aoi desu ka?) and ask how much something costs is a shop (ikura desu ka?) - this last rather more useful than the rest, I feel.

I also got back to writing. I haven't written anything for over a year and felt even less inclined to post what I had written before last November. Still not sure when I muster the energy, but at least there is a start. Even if it is totally self-indulgent meant to pander to yaoi fans another bloody rare pairing, Jesus, why can't I write something popular for once? slash.

So yeah, that's it for now. Cheers and have a good night.

You know how it sometimes is with a new fandom? Or maybe every fandom? You'd like to maybe write something, but you don't really know what. And you'd like to get a better feel of the characters so you'd like the fic to be short and somehow character-focussed as opposed to an action-driven one.

So you find a kink meme and think 'Hey, this looks good. And I don't even have to write smut, there are bound to be some interesting prompts in here.' And you do find a few prompts that you'd like to try. And you choose one, thinking that it'll surely be 600-700 words at most because your writing has always been too concise and since there are no big plot developments, it'll take you just a few days to write.

And then you let the fic consume your brain and it's two bloody weeks later and you've only just finished the stupid thing and it takes 30 effing pages in your notebook *headdesk*.

Because why spend your two-week holidays just doing nothing: re-watching favourite shows, reading that pile of books you've been putting aside for when YOU'VE GOT HOLIDAYS when you can write fics, kidding yourself every day that you see the end. A week into the writing I realised the end is nowhere in sight. It's always bloody the same: you just stare at the page, thinking 'come on, guys, why do you feel the need to do this or that or go there or drink pints of tea before you even consider moving on?'

Well, at least I finished it just as I finished the holidays.

Also, no smut. I fail at kink memes.

In other (but sort of related) news: I made my friend watch Whitechapel. After watching S1 and S2, he texted me: 'Murders are awesome but Kent's so gay and so in love with Chandler it's not even funny'.

Now he and his wife are having debates over Kent's chances with Chandler and I got another text: 'I hate you, you perv. I want S3 and S4'.

Mission accomplished. Hehhheheheeheeheh

So, the new Morrissey album has just been released and the other day I went to a music shop to see if they've already got it and think about maybe buying it. I did buy it in the end - I guess I just like to torture myself. The bloke sure left his philosophy of "we don't have to be violent or ugly, we can just be charming" or "it takes guts to be gentle and kind" a mile behind.
And then there's still the matter of court case and other things and I just want to punch him in the face most of the times.

And his bassists and drummers nowadays make my ears bleed with their utter mediocrity.

Anyway, yeah, I think I need to prepare myself mentally for this album first.

On a more positive note, during that trip I also bought Kajagoogoo's box set: two Kajagoogoo albums, one Kaja album and two Limahl solo albums. And that particular bout of insanity can be ascribed entirely to Whitechapel. Because there is Kent and his stupid tie with his stupid band pins (evidence below). I nearly pissed myself laughing when I saw one of the badges is a Kajagoogoo one and then I got thinking that it must have been the music of Kent's early childhood so maybe he's feeling nostalgic for that and he probably watched Never Ending Story when he was a kid and if he liked/listened to Kajagoogoo when he was little, he probably listened to Eurythmics and is so indoctrinated by Wham!'s Last Christmas he thinks it's not a proper Christmas until he hears it.

Greetings, my dwelling-in-the-same-childhood-music-landscape friend :D

Also, the above story shows once again why I shouldn't be allowed into music shops when I've got spare money on me.

Happy Easter, everyone.

Haven't written anything for a long time, but hey, since I've got a couple of days off for the holidays, I thought I might - real life insists on being unfairly busy.

I think I've found a new fandom, though. Downton Abbey is so charmingly old-fashioned I just couldn't resist. Plus, I've recently (but before finding Downton Abbey) come back to Jeeves & Wooster stories and fandom and it all coincides rather beautifully. So I'm currently hoarding heaps of otherwise useless information on the hierarchy of domestic staff in the beginning of the 20th century and considering buying The Butler's Guide: To Running the Home and Other Graces. You never know when this might come in handy. Also, always another career path to consider (apart from assassin, to which my personality type is apparently predisposed) in case of some unforeseen changes. Back-up plans are important, or so I've heard.

And in the meantime, have some dramatic Carson.

top text: Maid in the dining room? Middle: Picture of Carson with his hands raised dramatically. Bottom text: Societal collapse imminent

P.S. Ahoy, rodacy: czy ktuś z was ogląda "Downton Abbey"? Leci w poniedziałki na TVP1. Fangirling/fanboying anyone?

Watched today's match: Poland - Russia, because for once I'm at home at night and not working.
And the game wasn't a total disaster for our team, which was a nice surprise. Of course, Russian football is like their ballet (and fictional assassins): precise and deadly beautiful, but at least we weren't totally crap. The match ended 1:1 which, considering the social climate at the moment and certain politicians, was probably for the best.

This is ridiculous. Yesterday I went to buy a few things in a supermarket (and none of them was tea). I passed a rack with groceries that were half-priced for one day only and I saw black tea: cherry and almond flavoured. And I bought it despite the fact I've got what amounts to at least six-months supply of tea at home *facepalm*. I think it's actually worse that my inability to walk past a music shop without buying something. Yeah, it's definitely worse because sometimes I just don't have enough money for music, but for tea - always.

So, let's see what I've actually got.

Black tea:
- Darjeeling
- Yata Watte
- Earl Grey
- cherry and almond flavoured
- Arabian mint tea and honey
- toffee and banana flavoured
- Indian chai masala (black tea with spices)
- French rose and vanilla flavoured

Green tea:
- plain, pressed into cubes
- with lemongrass
- with roasted rice
- Indonesian sencha
- with raspberry
- lemon and honey flavoured
- Japanese hana sencha
- with quince and pomegranate

There's also a packet of white tea (with lychee and ginger), yerba mate (with cranberries and pomegranate), plain yerba mate and Korean ginseng tea. Yep, I think that's all.

Too much? Naah, you can never have too much tea.

Because I totally shouldn't. Today I went downtown just to buy tea, toothpaste and see what I could possibly buy for Christmas presents. And then there was that huge record shop. And I thought, hey, let's just see what they've got.

And I somehow ended up buying four CDs *facepalm*.

Admittedly, one of those CDs was a re-issue of a classic Partia (Polish band) album which I've been looking for for quite some time. I've almost given up the hope of ever finding it so I was all grabby hands when I found it today. The other three CDs were actually packed together - and therefore much cheaper than normally so I could actually afford them - and were a re-issue of three Dead Or Alive ablums. Yes, I got myself Dead Or Alive, damn you, my childhood memories. I can sort of very fuzzily remember seeing Pete Burns on TV back in the early 80's singing "You Spin Me Round" and wearing a kimono. I thought then the song was pretty cool - apparently, back when I was in kindergarten, my musical tastes were of a more dance-y nature.

I could also blame today's shopping spree on Morrissey's returned influence over my musical choices. Decisions, decisions.

Meanwhile, have some good old Dead Or Alive and Pete Burns who still looked human (I saw on another YT vid how he looks today and, man, nightmares guaranteed):

Finally my favourite holiday of the year (and best of all, I didn't have to go to work today). As usual, been to a cemetery, bought chrysanthemums and aniseed candies. I was tempted to buy a candle holder shaped like a lantern with an angel beside it, but decided to find one that would be a little less tacky. Anyway, the day was awesome.

I didn't take too many photos for the simple fact that the batteries in my camera died on me. Next year I'm stocking up.
